Musing Mystics: Young Women’s Writing and Yoga -
- Learned about the second chakra based on femininity
- Did a guided meditation with the attempt to channel this chakra
- Did a yoga sequence based on this chakra as well as breathing exercises
- Went to the Eastman Gardens & created a goddess that resembles femininity- then did a reflection or a poem on this
- Talked about our role as women
- Discussed Eat, Pray, Love- specifically the “eat” concept and how it applies to our lives
Afternoon Classes:
Finding Character Through Improv-
- Played “Where Have My Fingers Been?” game
- Played “Tag Team Monologue” (an improv game)
- Played “The Alphabet Game” (an improv exercise)
- Played “The Typewriter Game”
- Played character creation games- we defined how our characters walked, breathed, talked, conversed, and acted. Then, discussed what they would do in particular situations. We also gave the characters names to remember them for future reference.

- Took a walk around the Neighborhood of the Arts looking for Greek Architecture
- Wrote scenes
