Musing Mystics: Young Women’s Writing and Yoga -
- Introductions- learned about yoga, chandra, prana, mysticism, and other yoga-related terms
- Did a guided meditation
- Wrote about our experiences meditating
- Did a series of yoga poses based on our rootedness
- Wrote about our rootedness experience. We also wrote about unsestry and our history of this behavior
Finding Character Through Improv-
- Introductions
- Played “bunny bunny” icebreaker
- Played “red ball” icebreaker
- Played “the electric company”
- Went outside and each wrote our own individual stories based on the word “rickidee”
- Shared our stories and commented on them
- Played “the relationship game” (an improv game)
- All day shooting (and watching short films)
Full Day Classes:
Percy Jackson’s Magic Pen-
- Read a play from an excerpt of The Lightning Thief
- Created a plot for our demigod adventure stories
- Contemplated sequence ideas for our stories
- Discovered what Greek Zodiacs are
- Created our own Greek monsters
- Wrote two scenes for our demigod story
